Guadalajara Attractions are a World Memorable Experience

In the Down Town Colonial part of Guadalajara Mexico, there are countless Parks, Squares and Pedestrian areas where locals and tourists meet. Guadalajara is a vibrating city where you can still see the people having time to peacefully enjoy their leisure hours in the large open spaces that Guadalajara has to Offer. Guadalajara’s Plaza Tapatía is a Monumental area of 70,000 square meters with patches of well kept plants and trees, producing a refreshing sensation to this very attractive ´place.


Plaza Tapatia in Guadalajara has 2 main pedestrian paths connecting to the Degollado Theater and to the Cultural Cabañas Institute with the Jose Clemente Orozco World Famous Mural Paintings. All over this huge area you find sculptures of very renowned artists such as Beatriz Hernandez and Miguel Ibarra. In the midst of the Down Town Guadalajara’s social and commercial area, on 16 of September Avenue, you will find Los Portales. These are different series of Arches as lower part of buildings providing different type of purposes, such as cafés, restaurants, pedestrian commercial passages and more. You find Los Portales in Front of the 16th Century Government Palace and the Portal of The Agustinos which has the same time seniority and  leads to the Main Square or Plaza de Armas.


Guadalajara in its founding and during the Colonial Period was generous in securing open spaces for the delight of today’s visitors. Other parks and squares in Guadalajara where people like to spend time at are Plazoleta de las 9 Esquinas a little plaza, with beautiful gardens and a fountain where four streets form the famous "9 corners". Additionally in Guadalajara, you should visit Plaza Benito Juárez, The Garden of the Archeological Museum, Plaza Fundadores and many others. Most Guadalajara plazas as monumental as they are, will normally have Historic rich architectural Colonial churches on the premises. Guadalajara Historic Center of the City can take you from a full day to almost a week if you have the time to enjoy it. Some of the other must places you should visit when in Guadalajara are Palacio Legislativo, The Astronomical Observatory from the U of G,  the Municipal Palace.
