Most ideas stay in the imagination. The number of “damn, that’s genius!”-es that have ever been said far exceeds the number of things actually made by multiple orders of magnitude. Why?
Transitioning from wanting to make something to actually making it has never been seamless. Between the two sits the work: the crew you cannot afford, the software you never learned, the render that takes all night, the hundred small decisions that turn one idea into forty hours. Ideas die in the not-knowing-where-to-begin, the fear of failure, the seemingly insurmountable gap between start to finish.
We deserve better.
The solution is not another tool with a learning curve, but a set of agents whose whole job is to take the thing in your head and do the labor of getting it out. You say “expose a more natural lighting” and the whole video re-renders perfectly. You say “make this meme variation in every language” and it fans out. You say what’s in your head, and agents obsess over the menial tasks that never defined what it meant to be creative.
The only part truly left in this new paradigm is the human one: the taste, the agency, the “this is perfect”.
Before generative AI, the world’s creative output had come from the small number of people who found a way through the work.
